TRXDE OF THE MONTH: JORDAN ANTHONY

TRXDE OF THE MONTH: JORDAN ANTHONY

This month, we honor a truly amazing athlete! At just 21, Jordan Anthony is raising the bar for young athletes. He is the recent winner of the 2026 USA Indoor Championships for 60m Sprinters. Defeating crowd favorites like 2024 Paris Olympic Gold Medalist for the 100m dash Noah Lyles, Max Thomas, 2022 NACAC Champion Lawrence Johnson, and 2016 World Indoor Champion Trayvon Bromell. And sprinting isn't even his only sport! This man is a phenomenal dual athlete, being a force in Track & Field while also being a talented Wide Receiver in Football. Jordan Anthony finished the race with a spectacular 6.45 seconds. He was very close to breaking a world record and is most definitely the fastest man in the world right now!

Jordan has been excellent for most of his career. He started his college career as a dual-athlete at the University of Kentucky and suffered a horrible fractured hip. And even with a fractured hip he still won the Under 20 200m dash title at the USA Outdoor Championships in June of 2022. Jordan then took his career to the University of Arkansas where he won multiple 60m dash competitions in 2025.

With all these accomplishments, you'd think people would be happy for him. However, his recent major accomplishment has been met with some backlash. In the moment where Noah Lyles handed his championship belt over to Jordan Anthony, the world went silent. Newscasters flooded Jordan to get his reaction. Then, he opened his mouth. And what came out was a voice that many did not expect. Jordan's voice was boyish. High in tone and a little soft on the backend. Many spectators expected his voice to be deeper, for some reason. Then people started to attack his masculinity, and finally his sexuality.

This is called "Buck-Breaking". Buck-Breaking was a torturing method in slavery to instill fear into other male slaves by raping and emasculating the biggest slave in front of all of their peers. The practice, whether mythical or literal is also practiced in present day, by humiliating the most exceptional black men in order to diminish their accomplishments and make them, and other men that look up to them, feel incompetent and less masculine. The horror in this practice is that, even in 2026, it is a cultural norm to tear down brilliant black men simply because they do not fit our stereotypical schemas.

Upon Jordan Anthony's victory, there were many people praising him, and out of every 4 positive comments, there were more 4 more criticizing him for something he could not change. His voice, his essence, his spirit. Then something brilliant happened. Many black gay men paying attention to his criticism began to identify with him because they know all too well of his struggle. The amount of queer people in his comments praising him for his "cunty" voice is the type of positive reinforcement Jordan needs.

However, even as we write this article, there has been a PR campaign to fix Jordan's image. Most snippets and videos of his voice have been scrubbed from social media. Many clips ending just before he speaks. The only way to hear his voice is to watch the original broadcast or tune in to his social media.

Here at TRXDE APPAREL, we don't think Jordan needs to change a damn thing! It doesn't matter what his sexuality is nor does it matter how masculine he is. The only reason why he has achieved so much is because he is comfortable being who he is. And he got bitches PRESSED! A worthy TRXDE OF THE MONTH!

Sincerely,

OG TRXDE
